Swans Room: 3-5 Years
From three until school age, children will play and learn in our Swans Room, which is situated on the ground floor of the nursery with free access to our garden. Please click on our pictures to view the gallery and scroll down to read more about the amazing facilities in this room.
The Swans Room has been carefully designed and planned to make it easily accessible to our 3 to 5 year olds.
Children will get a chance to play with sand, water, small world, mark making, craft, role play, construction and mathematical toys to prepare them for school life.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori approach, the room has natural toys and equipment, with earth tones and warmth.
The room is extremely organised, ‘everything has its place’ so that the children can manage their own environment. Children will be encouraged to participate in all elements of nursery life including preparation and clean up.
Throughout the child’s time in the Swans Room, they will be prepared for school by developing skills such as building relationships with peers, managing their own self-care, and developing their confidence to communicate.
