Welcoming & Naming Our New Residents

Our Japanese Bantams chickens have flown in and are now residing in their new home at 22 Street Lane Nursery.

We asked the children to come up with name suggestions and received some great ones including Macaroni and T-Rex! On our Olympic Sports Day the following names were pulled out of a hat:

Xander
Penny
Rapunzel

The chickens allow for the children to have first-hand experience of caring for animals. We will be on the lookout for eggs to use for our cooking and baking activities.
