Swans Stumbled Across a Dinosaur Egg!

Today the Swans children stumbled across a Dinosaur egg!

Last week the Swans children found an ‘Egg’ in the nursery garden, this was no ordinary egg; this was a ‘Dinosaur Egg’!

We decided to bring the egg inside the Nursery so we could look after it and help it grow, we carefully placed it in water ready for the egg to grow and hatch.

To support the children’s understanding of growth through discussion, we encourage them to talk about the changes that we could see happening to the egg each day; we talked about what it could be and how we could look after it, we even compared the size of the egg to that of a chickens!
