Richmond House Visit
We should value all ages in our communities, from the very young to the very old. It is important for children to develop a mutual respect for others from a young age, to interact with people different than themselves, and to learn about aging.
On Thursday 6th April our pre-school ‘Swans’ children went to visit the local residents of Richmond House – retirement home, which is just adjacent to the Nursery.
The morning was spent making new friends, singing songs, playing games and listing to the resident’s adventures from when they were younger. The children and residents then sat and enjoyed eating the homemade cakes that the children had been baking prior to the visit.
We would like to thank all the residents of Richmond house for allowing us to visit them at their home, the children loved every minute and are now looking forward to the residents visiting them in the Nursery setting.
