22 Street Lane Macmillan Bake Sale 2019

What an amazing effort! Our Macmillan Bake Sale 2019 was a huge success, raising a massive total of:

**£263!**

Thank you so much for everyone’s extremely kind donations, both of sweet treats and funds for the charity, it’s all going to an incredible cause.

The Goslings we’re very kindly invited to Haley and Clifford Delicatessen, who were extremely generous and donated a luscious lemon drizzle cake to decorate and sell at the Macmillan Bake Sale! The Goslings took a trip to their café to decorate the cake, and had lots of fun scooping icing onto the cake, moving it around to decorate the top of the cake. They cleverly told us the colours of all the tubed icing and squeezed the bottle to put it on the top, and finally topped it off with some sprinkles and sweeties as the final flourishes!

The children behaved impeccably, listening and behaving so wonderfully even with the temptation of a delicious cake in front of them. Thank you to Haley and Clifford for their kindness for this fantastic cause!

Following the bake sale, some of the cakes that were left were donated to the residential home, Richmond House, over the road from our nursery! The Swans walked over to the home, and visited the lounge where they had a lovely conversation with some of the residents. They were delighted to receive our cakes and said we were very kind, which was a lovely comment for the children to receive for their lovely gesture. The Swans were so excited, and asked if they could please take some more cakes again soon!
