INDIA: Country of the Month

Our Country of the Month ties in beautifully with our Diwali celebrations. Chris also really enjoys cooking traditional Indian meals, so I am sure he has some exciting taste sensations up his sleeve for the children. Diwali is known as the “Festival of Lights” for all the fireworks, small clay lamps, and candles that are lit.

For most Indian families, Diwali is the most anticipated festival of the year. The children will be celebrating by making their own lights, listening to Indian music and also trying a bit of traditional Indian dancing.

If any of our families have anything exciting to share with us around their own celebrations, we would love to include these during Indian week.
