Halloween Messy Play

We’ve all loved getting into the Halloween spirit at the nursery this week! 🎃

The children have been getting involved with lots of themed activities, with the older children getting involved in some traditional pumpkin carving. They really enjoyed using knives and spoons to scoop out the seeds and even used their senses to smell and feel the different textures of the pumpkin pulp!

We’ve also welcomed some of our parents to the nursery this week to join their children for our messy play sessions. This included decorating pumpkins with different materials like green rice and tissue paper, as well as letting the children use their fine motor skills to make some spooky playdough spiders. 🕷
