Greek Week Celebrations

We have had lots of fun exploring Greece as our September Country of the Month. The children have been busy exploring different parts of Greek culture and cuisine, as well as learning some new Greek words.

The Cygnet children made their own laurel wreath out of different types of leaves, as well as the Greek flag with a variety of resources and using a ruler to draw agricultural buildings on the outdoor chalkboard.

Meanwhile, the Swan children have enjoyed tasting some delicious Greek foods, creating their own Greek flag collages using a range of media and materials, and looking at the different beaches in Greece. We also discussed if any of the children have been to Greece before, or another similar beach resorts. Those children enjoyed sharing photos of recent holidays they have been on during carpet time.
