Cygnets And Swans Go On A Bus Adventure!

The Cygnets and Swans children enjoyed going on an outing to see some of the elderly in our community at Sabourn Court Home. They enjoyed getting on the bus and singing ‘The Wheels on The Bus’ on our way!

The children were very excited to see where we were going, and as we approached Sabourn Court the children spotted familiar things including poppies that were on the window for Remembrance Day.

When we arrived, we went into the living room and sang some of our favourite songs to the residents including ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Little Peter Rabbit’, then introduced ourselves and found out what the residents names were! The children then decorated and coloured in some teddy bear pictures, and whilst the elderly taught them how to use scissors, the children helped open the lids for the pens as the residents struggled a little bit. It was a lovely display of teamwork and we are very excited to return and see the residents at Sabourn Court again!
