Chinese New Year 2022

We had such a fun time celebrating Chinese New Year yesterday and welcoming in the Year of the Tiger! The children had the opportunity to try some traditional dragon dancing, taste Chinese food like chow mein, and have the chance to make colourful lanterns!
In the Ducklings Room, the children explored messy rice play, following a Chinese New Year tradition of filling up envelopes of rice to celebrate the coming of a New Year.
Meanwhile the Swans enjoyed exploring the tuff tray with rice and noodles, as well as making some traditional Chinese lanterns. The Swans have also enjoyed trying some traditional Chinese cuisine and ate their meal using chopsticks!
