22SLN Help Local School Raise Over £9,000!
22 Street Lane Nursery has donated a new iPad to Harewood School which helped raise over £9,150 to improve the school’s technology for the local children.
22 Street Lane Nursery are proud of the close links that we have formed within our local community since our inception. We feel it important to be able to develop local links with people within the community as well as our neighboring schools.
We are proud to say we have been able to help support the success of Harewood C of E PTA school fund raising auction prize night, that took place on 12th May at Harewood Village.
Caroline Pollard, Managing Director of 22 Street Lane Nursery commented: “We were delighted to be able to donate a 32GB Apple iPad to Harewood C of E PTA, this was used in the auction and helped contribute to Harewood C of E Primary School PTA raising an amazing £9,153.62. Having beaten the £6,000 target the school can now invest in some much needed and vital technology; smart whiteboards to help with the children’s learning and development.”
Jennifer Woodhall – Harewood C of E Primary PTA Team Member said: “The Harewood PTA Auction of Promises aimed to raise £6000 to help our school to provide interactive smart boards to allow the children to learn more effectively. We were overwhelmed with the support from local businesses that pledged prizes and promises. 22 Street Lane Nursery very generously donated an iPad and we are incredibly grateful for their support of our school. The grand total raised was £9,152.56, which would not have been possible without the support of local businesses such as 22 Street Lane Nursery.”
We continue to help enhance the links with our local community, the Nursery has recently had visits from a local Fire station and town local Police lady’s, as well as a visit to Richmond house; a local care home this term. Having this support available to us from our local community has helped us with our recent topic ‘People who help us’. As well as receiving support from the local community we also feel it important to be able to contribute to the success of the community, in any way we can.
