Mini First Aid

What is Mini First Aid?

22 Street Lane Nursery Mini First Aid classes are designed to introduce our pre-school children to first aid skills. The early years curriculum includes elements for social development, including building an awareness of the world around them and basic science ‘what happens if I do this’. First aid helps young children understand what is happening to their bodies if they are hurt.

What will the children learn?

Our Mini First Aid interactive classes are aimed at; helping little ones understand what to do if someone is hurt, how to stop bleeding and why we need cold pads if someone bumps their head.

During the class children help look after our visiting teddy bear and also learn the ‘special number'(emergency services – 999) to call when someone is very poorly. The children are also encouraged to practice their home address.

Sessions are finished with a story; children learn all about an accident prone little boy in the Mini Adventures of Freddie.
