French Classes
22 Street Lane Nursery offers French classes to all children in our Pre-school, Swans rooms. Each week we carefully plan our sessions to revolve around games, songs, rhymes and two fun characters Matou and Tounette.
We believe that early foreign language learning reinforces literacy skills and nurtures children’s enthusiasm. Language development is at its most rapid in this age group, with language learning coming easily when you stimulate children’s imagination.
We have partnered with ‘Language Learners’, who provide French classes for the Nursery children; they have won recognition in the ”What’s on 4 Junior awards 2016” for a third year running by using the proven structured programme La Jolie Ronde, which was established in 1983.
This fantastic and unique method is recognised by the French Government and enables children to excel in a foreign language, with its nursery programme being developed specifically in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
