What is Tiny Dancers?
Tiny Dancers is a fantastic, interactive, fun way for children to learn and develop new skills through sound and movement.
During a class children are encouraged to participate in; learning new sounds, songs, dances, and movements. This includes traditional nursery rhymes as well as modern music. Musical instruments and props are also used by the children and everyone is encouraged to take part during a class, including our younger children and babies.
A Tiny Dancers class is delivered by a professional, experienced Tiny Dancers teacher.
Benefits of sound and movement;
Throughout the early years, children are learning to do new things with their bodies, they are learning that sound and movement can communicate messages and represent actions. Studies have also shown music and dance experiences in early childhood can accelerate brain development, particularly in the areas of language acquisition and reading skills.
By communicating freely through music, dance, using their voice, body and instruments children learn to express ideas openly with confidence.
Sound and movement can help develop and improve;
- Creativity and imagination
- Social skills.
- Listening skills.
- Awareness of movement and body positions.
- Cause and effect.
- Fine and Gross motor skills.
- Balance and coordination.
Tiny Dancers will take place at the Nursery every Tuesday during term time only.
Classes will be delivered by June, an experienced children’s dance teacher from Tiny Dancers.
During the summer, weather permitting, classes will take place in our garden, so children can enjoy music and movement outdoors.
