Since 2012, I have taught and worked with children from as young as three months to five years old, including children with EAL and SEN.
I have cared for, planned, taught and assessed children in schools, theatre groups, private nurseries and children’s centres, as well as a specialised voluntary organisation called The Sea Cadet Corps.
I have recently completed my PGCE in Early Childhood Care and Education with Early Years Teacher Status. Previous to this I studied English Language and Literature (BA Hons) in Leeds.
I also have experience representing the voice of my peers/colleagues as the Early Years (birth-5) course rep for Leeds Beckett University 2016.
I hold a firm belief that the early years are 'where it’s at' in terms of sparking that initial developmental curiosity and educational excitement in children that will lead them to a positive and successful attitude towards learning for the rest of their lives.
I take pride in knowing that I have the opportunity to be a part of something like that every day with 22 Street Lane Nursery.
